I went on the Rural Development Exchange that was put on by Augustana University College and Canada World Youth. On this exchange I was given the opportunity to live and work in Mexico. I lived with a family in a rural village called San Andres de la Cal. I love my Mexican friends and now many of my other friends that I know from around the world. They are what inspries me. I am inspired by passionate enthusiasm, and by optimism (nice generic answers, I know). I'm also very inspired when I see people speak out about things that matter to them, and speak up when they see wrong doings in the world. The prospect of travel inspires me, as do children, especially children that are already survivors in one way or another. ( read more)
